When we FAIL or Choke as a Golfer

When we fail or CHOKE as it is often called, please keep this in mind.To play well or achieve our daily goals in golf, we need to view the day as an opportunity to learn what we need to know or do better. Ultimate achievers know that if they aren't failing, they are not pushing themselves into positions to learn something new.

The Bismarck All-City junior golf tournament started in 1974. Sam Bakken was the youngest (age 13) ever to win the tournament. Sam won at age 16 for the 2nd time and also played in the Junior World that same summer. Sam died of a undetected heart problem 24 years ago while jogging. This is the first year the tournament has been changed to the Sam Bakken All-City Championships. Curt and Ruth Bakken are pictured below with the trophy and framed Memorial of their son Sam.
